Everybody was attentive. The hotel had an unbeatable and magnificent location, opposite the train station. Also was in front of restaurants and eateries. The restaurant was good, offered splendid food. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. Everything was simply perfect.

Everything was perfect, knowledgeable staff, stunning views of the castle. This was my 2nd stay, they offered a double room. The breakfast was included, it was above average. The hotel was ideally located and opposite a train station. Tbh, had a very good stay for a short business trip.

Staff was very accommodating and supportive.
I was shocked to see the room's cleanliness standards were so low for a hotel of this caliber. The overall decor felt very outdated and needed serious upgrades to match expectations.

My thoughts, in two sentences
Ideal location right next to the train station! The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with both Western and Japanese options, but the dining area felt a bit cramped during peak hours.

straight across the street from the bullet train;
This is part of the Nikko chain, and so I expected a certain amount of flair that this one does not have. Even my local Japanese friend was surprised about this. We decided that Nikko must have bought an existing hotel and then put its name on it. He said he was surprised that Himeji had a Nikko and reasoned that the building seemed much older than what would have been a recent presence of Nikko there. After all, this hotel is still using room keys, which is inconvenient to jingle around in your pocket all day. They seem behind the curve about smoking allowed in the lobby and the coffee shop, etc., especially for a supposed international hotel. (There is a non-smoking sign at the hotel entrance (and the coffee shop) but laughibly, the "zone" only covers the exterior wait area for a taxi and the revolving doors. What's more you cannot know exactly where the zone is. I had to ask the doorman. On this point, this hotel is the worse international hotel I have been in. So for the total Y13 I paid, which supposedly was heavily discounted, I feel I was overcharged 20%.

Nice location near train station, but the room was quite outdated and small.

Staying here was fantastic. The view of Himeji Castle from our room added charm to our trip. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of delicious options that kept everyone in the family satisfied, especially my kid.
In my wife's opinion, more kid-friendly activities would enhance the experience.

Family with children will appreciate it
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and the breakfast was just fantastic and they had a great variety of options so everyone could find something they liked. The lobby was really excellent with tall ceilings and I felt actually a bit fancy just walking through it.
It wasn't exactly cheap but you get what you pay for in terms of comfort and service here.
